The Allen & Heath AHM-16 audio matrix processor gives you sixteen inputs, sixteen outputs, full zone processing and expandability up to 128 channels in one compact 1RU. Ideal for AV installers who don't want to compromise on processing power, but also don't want to fill half a rack with separate DSP modules!
The AHM-16 is built around 8x8 local analog I/O via Phoenix connectors, with a 16x16-channel processing matrix and a 96 kHz FPGA core for ultra-low latency. Via the optional I/O Port you scale up later to 128x128 channels over Dante or SLink, handy as the installation grows. Every input and every zone has its own 8-band PEQ, dynamics processing and delay, complemented by a full speaker processing block with crossover filter, limiter, delay and PEQ. Sound management tools such as automatic mic mixer, ambient noise compensation (ANC) and priority ducking are built in as standard, with no extra hardware needed.

FAQ
Is Dante built in by default?
No. The base unit has 8x8 analog I/O on Phoenix connectors. Dante support requires the separately available Dante 96 kHz option card, which also brings AES67 and DDM compatibility.
How many zones can I create?
With the base unit you can create up to 16 mono or 8 stereo processing outputs, each with full EQ, dynamics, delay and speaker control. An I/O option card lets you scale up to 128 channels across the network.
Can I operate the AHM-16 without a computer or tablet?
Yes. The front panel has a display and 4 programmable SoftKeys for volume, source select and preset recall. For more extensive local control, the Allen & Heath IP1, IP6 and IP8 remote controls are available.
Does the AHM-16 work with Crestron, AMX or Extron?
Yes, official drivers for Crestron, AMX and Extron are available via TCP/IP. Integration via GPIO or other systems that support TCP/IP is also possible.
