The Allen & Heath AHM-64 is a 64x64 audio matrix processor with a 96 kHz FPGA core that delivers more processing than most open systems, managed from a single rack unit via familiar software. Can I expand the AHM-64 as my installation grows?
Absolutely. The built-in SLink port lets you connect up to 8 remote expanders, letting the system grow to 268 inputs and 268 outputs. Add a Dante card and the DT168 and DT164-W Dante expanders become available too.
Do I need certified training to set up the AHM-64?
No. Allen & Heath deliberately designed the AHM System Manager software so you can configure a full system without specific certification. If you know another matrix processor or an Allen & Heath console, you'll find your way around quickly.
Does the AHM-64 work with existing building management systems?
Yes. Via TCP/IP and GPIO the AHM-64 integrates with Crestron, AMX and Extron, and drivers are available. Extra GPIO interfaces can be expanded over the TCP network to a maximum of 8 units of 8x8 contact points each.
Is acoustic echo cancellation (AEC) built in by default?
No, AEC is available as an optional expansion module. Feedback suppression (FBS) can also be ordered as a module. The rest of the signal processing chain, including Ambient Noise Compensation and Priority Ducking, is built in as standard.
