Description

An instrument cable and a speaker cable look the same, until your amplifier makes the difference audible. Connect a passive speaker to a thin signal cable and you risk distortion, even damage to the cable or the amp. The Adam Hall 3 STAR jack speaker cable is built for exactly that job: carrying power from your amplifier to your speaker, without hassle. An affordable jack speaker cable for passive loudspeakers, ready for daily use.

Features

The cable combines a flexible PVC jacket with a conductor cross-section of 2 x 1.5 mm², more than enough for lower-power speakers. The 6.3 mm mono jacks are made by Adam Hall itself, with nickel-silver contacts for reliable transfer. Thanks to its high flexibility, you roll it out and back up quickly, even on cold loading docks and late load-outs. Available in several lengths, so you simply pick what your setup needs.

  • Sturdy Adam Hall jack plugs that handle daily plugging

Pro Tip Never use an instrument cable between amplifier and speaker: that thin signal conductor isn't built for power and can overheat. For higher power levels or long distances, choose a thicker cross-section or a speakON connection.

FAQ

Can I also use this cable as a guitar cable?

Better not to. A speaker cable isn't shielded, so with weak instrument signals you'll pick up hum and noise. The reverse also applies: don't use an instrument cable as a speaker cable.

What power level is this cable suited for?

At 2 x 1.5 mm², it's meant for lower-power speakers, such as monitors, combo cabinets and compact PA speakers. For heavy subs and long cable runs, choose a larger cross-section.

Are the plugs mono or stereo?

Both ends have a 2-pole 6.3 mm mono jack (TS), the standard for jack speaker connections.
