Description

The 4 STAR series pairs Neutrik REAN connectors with a fully balanced build, and you can hear it in the silence on your line. The oxygen-free copper core at 0.22 mm² and the spiral copper-wire shielding keep hum and cell phone interference out, even when the cable runs next to a dimmer line. The matte PVC jacket, 5.8 mm thick, stays flexible and won't kink up in your cable bin. Die-cast zinc housings with sturdy strain relief: working gear, not a throwaway cable.

Key features

  • Balanced connection from XLR male to 6.3 mm stereo jack, with no adapter plugs in your signal path
  • REAN RC3M and RP3C connectors in die-cast zinc, built to survive a fall off a stage edge
  • Spiral shielding keeps interference from lighting and power cables out of your audio line
  • Low capacitance under 90 pF/m, so your highs stay open across the full length
  • Flexible matte sheath that coils up neatly and is ready fast for the next gig
  • Three meters is just the right jump from rack to speaker or from table to stage box

Pro Tip Always plug this cable into a balanced TRS output. On a mono TS jack, the ring gets grounded and you instantly lose level and noise rejection.

FAQ

Can I connect a microphone with this?

No. The XLR side is male, so it fits into an input, not onto a microphone. For a mic, you need a cable with a female XLR connector.

Does it also work on an unbalanced jack output?

It will fit, but you lose the noise rejection of the balanced connection and some level. Over short distances you'll barely notice, but over long lines you will.

Can this cable be used for DMX or speaker-level signal?

No. This is a signal cable for microphone and line level. For DMX and amplifier outputs, use the cables made for that purpose.
