With the Allen & Heath AR2412 digital stage box you connect 24 mic inputs and 12 line outputs on stage to FOH with a single Cat5 cable, and get full remote control over all preamps from the house. Plug in, and you're ready to work.
The AR2412 fits seamlessly into any Allen & Heath dSNAKE system: Qu, SQ, Avantis, GLD and AHM-64 are all supported. The fully recallable preamps, 60dB adjustable in 1dB steps, with -20dB pad for line levels, are stored within your console's scenes, so your next show picks up right where the last one left off. Firmware updates run automatically via the console, with no extra configuration. The dedicated monitor port lets performers manage their own mix via the ME Personal Mixing System, significantly easing the load at FOH.

Pro Tip: Use only shielded Cat5e or Cat6 STP cable with EtherCon terminations. Standard network cable works fine over short distances, but at 50 meters or more you'll notice the difference in stability.

FAQ
Does the AR2412 also work with an Allen & Heath iLive?
No. The AR2412 uses the dSNAKE protocol and isn't compatible with the iLive series or other Allen & Heath devices using the ANC protocol. For iLive you need a separate AudioRack with an ACE connection.
Can I combine multiple AR2412 units for more channels?
Not directly: two AR2412 units cannot be linked together. You can, however, add an AR84 (8 in/4 out) or AB168 (16 in/8 out) via the expander port, expanding the system to up to 40 inputs and 20 outputs on stage.
How long can the Cat5 cable be between the AR2412 and the console?
Up to 100 meters per segment, provided you use quality shielded Cat5e or higher with EtherCon connectors. If you use passive couplers to extend cables, that maximum distance decreases.
Do I need to update firmware manually after purchase?
No. The AR2412 has no configuration interface of its own; the console automatically detects any firmware mismatch and runs the update on connection. You don't need to do anything.
