FAQ

What's the difference between the Avantis and the Avantis Solo?

The Avantis has two 15.6" touchscreens, 24 faders and 12 local XLR ins and outs. The Avantis Solo has one screen, 12 faders and 6 analog ins and outs. Both run on the same XCVI engine with identical mix architecture, but the Avantis gives you more physical workspace and local I/O.

Do I need the dPack upgrade?

Not required. The Avantis is already a full-featured console without dPack, with extensive per-channel processing. dPack adds DEEP compressors (including the new CompStortion model), 16 Dyn8 engines and the Dual-Stage Valve Preamp from the dLive line, and via firmware V2.0 also unlocks the expansion to 96 channels and 56 buses.

Can I link my existing Allen & Heath hardware to the Avantis?

Yes. Via SLink, the Avantis is compatible with the full range of A&H expanders: the GX, DX and DT series and ME personal monitor systems. Rental houses with existing dLive hardware can integrate the Avantis directly, with no adapters needed.

Can the Avantis also be used as a monitor desk?

Absolutely. The 42 configurable buses, the Continuity UI and the extensive SLink options make it just as powerful at the monitor position as at FOH. Pair it via SLink with a stage box or a second console for a classic FOH/monitor split.
