FAQ
What's the difference between the Avantis Solo and the original Avantis?
The Solo has one 15.6 inch touchscreen instead of two, 12 faders instead of 24, and smaller local I/O (6 inputs and 6 outputs). The mix engine, channel count (64 channels, 42 buses) and all processing options are identical. Existing show files load straight across between both models.
Can I keep using my existing Allen & Heath stage box?
Yes. Via the SLink EtherCON port, the Solo works with Allen & Heath's entire Everything I/O range, including GX, DX, AB and AR expanders, the ME personal monitoring systems, and dLive stage boxes for digital split applications.
What does the dPack upgrade add, and do I need it?
The Avantis Solo already comes fully equipped for demanding professional productions as standard. The dPack adds dLive processing: Dyn8 (up to 16 instances), DEEP Compressors, DEEP Gates and the Dual Stage Valve Preamp emulation. For engineers used to dLive processing or with complex dynamics needs, the upgrade is well worth the investment.
Can I control the Avantis Solo wirelessly from the room?
Yes. Using the two gigabit Ethernet ports, connect a wireless router and manage the entire mix through the MixPad app (iOS/Android). Performers can also set their own monitor mix via the OneMix iOS app or an ME personal mixer.
