Description
The BASO enclosures are universally usable passive bass cabinets. Their bass reflex design is engineered to be as compact as possible while delivering maximum performance in terms of sound quality and pressure. Their cabinets are built from sturdy, high-quality plywood, while their elegant design allows them to be placed in any environment.
The BASO18 is equipped with a high-quality 18" woofer built using a woven carbon speaker cone. The woofer's exceptional strength and light weight drastically reduce break-up, guaranteeing a high level of efficiency and excellent transient response. It has a maximum power of 1800 Watts, with an RMS power of 900 Watts. This speaker's power comes from a 4" voice coil that allows extra-long excursions. Movement is precisely controlled by the dual low-loss suspension, resulting in superior linear behavior.
These carefully selected high-quality materials, combined with precise acoustic craftsmanship, result in an impressive combination of punch and low-frequency extension without compromise. The highly efficient design results in a sensitivity of 96 dB with a continuous sound pressure capacity of up to 129 dB. The frequency response ranges from 32 Hz to 300 Hz, dropping to 30 Hz at -10 dB. The cabinet is compactly designed without sacrificing robustness, thanks to the 18 mm high-quality plywood with structured coating.
The integrated handles and the option to add an optional 35 mm pole mount adapter improve mobility. Connections are made using two Speakon-compatible connectors in a recessed connector panel, allowing link-through to other cabinets. This also allows close placement against any wall or corner.
