Description
The Pioneer DJ DM-50D is a stunning set of high-quality monitor speakers. They work great as studio monitors, but also as powerful speakers next to a computer or DJ controller. Flip the switch and the DSP settings optimize automatically. Use the RCA input, 3.5 mm mini-jack or the new TRS input to connect external devices like a DJ controller, mixer or your laptop to the Pioneer DJ DM-50D speakers. The grooves on the sides of the Pioneer DJ DM-5D speakers reduce air resistance, so the bass stays tight even when the speakers are placed against a wall.
Studio & desktop speaker
The Pioneer DJ DM-50D is a stunning set of high-quality monitor speakers. They work as studio monitors but also as powerful speakers next to a computer or DJ controller. Thanks to the 2-way setup with a 5-inch woofer and a perfectly matched tweeter, the Pioneer DJ DM-50D delivers tight bass and crystal-clear mid/high frequencies. The Pioneer DJ DM-50D is an upgraded version of the Pioneer DJ DM-40 and uses convex DECO diffusers. Thanks to the refreshed design and matching diffusers, the Pioneer DJ DM-50D has a noticeably wider sweet spot and a rich, filling 3D stereo image.
Optimized for the demanding DJ
The amplifier in the Pioneer DJ DM-50D is an entirely new class-D module with 96 kHz sampling DSP. When needed, this delivers extra power when you switch the DSP settings from production mode to DJ mode and back, via the switch on the rear. This guarantees the ideal sound in any situation. Bass response is further optimized by special grooves in the internal air channels. The rounded edges of the speaker aren't just good-looking — they also minimize resonance, giving you a clean sound at any volume.
Versatile connections and controls
The Pioneer DJ DM-50D is extremely versatile when it comes to connections. On the back you'll find stereo RCA connections, a mini stereo jack and the newly added TRS inputs. You can connect all kinds of devices here — think of a studio laptop with a sound card for making your own music, a DJ controller or a mixer.
At the front, the Pioneer DJ DM-50D has a handy headphone connection and volume control.
Our Pro Gear audio expert's verdict on the Pioneer DJ DM-50D
The Pioneer DJ DM-40 was already great value for money, but the DM-50D is a whole different class, even though it comes from the same series. You clearly hear a beautiful stereo image, well-defined bass and sparkling highs, with a nice balance between low, mid and high.
The 5" woofer just sounds smooth and tight, while the highs have a lovely fresh sound. Also very noticeable is the abundance of power the redesigned amplifier delivers.
