Description
Picture next summer: the rain is hammering down on your open-air festival and you don't even look up. While other crews scramble for tarps and rain covers, your pars simply stay on, saturated with colour and bone dry inside. That is what a season with the Pro Lux LED PAR 2020IP looks like: an IP66 LED par with 20 RGBWA+UV LEDs of 20W that couldn't care less about the weather. What you buy today for one outdoor gig is part of your standard rig six months from now, indoors and out.
Features
Twenty 20W 6-in-1 LEDs covering red, green, blue, white, amber and UV give you a dense, saturated colour mix without the colour shadows you get from cheaper pars. The IP66 housing keeps out dust and powerful water jets, and the waterproof Seetronic connectors for DMX and powerCON protect the whole chain, not just the fixture. A fixed 25° beam angle throws a tight wash onto a facade, a truss or a stage backdrop. Run it over DMX512 or RDM, master-slave, auto or sound-active, all set up on the LCD display.
Key features
- Six colours per LED: real pastels, deep amber and a UV effect from a single fixture
- Rain, dust and splashes are no longer a concern: IP66, connectors included
- Enough output to colour a facade or a high truss, even without haze
- RDM support: set addresses from the desk, no ladder required
- Two DMX modes (6 or 10 channels), as simple or as deep as your show needs
- powerCON and XLR in/out: daisy-chain without extra distro boxes
- 50,000-hour lifespan, no lamp changes between seasons

Pro Tip Outdoors, always use waterproof mating plugs on your DMX and powerCON cables: an IP66 par with a standard XLR plugged in is exactly as waterproof as that XLR. Terminate the DMX line at the last fixture too, since long outdoor cable runs pick up interference more easily.

FAQ
Can it stay installed outdoors permanently?
Yes. The IP66 rating protects against dust and powerful water jets. Use waterproof cables and plugs so that protection covers the whole chain.
How many fixtures can I daisy-chain on one line?
Allow 400W per fixture. On a 16A circuit at 230V you stay under 9 units on paper, but keep headroom for inrush current and follow the daisy-chain limit stated in the manual.
What is the difference between the 6- and 10-channel modes?
The 6-channel mode gives you the six colours individually, while the 10-channel mode adds functions such as master dimmer, strobe and programs. The full channel map is in the manual.
Is the beam angle adjustable?
No, the angle is fixed at 25°. A good choice for facades and trusses, less so for a very wide wash at short distance.
