Description
The GeNetix Node 5 is a multifunctional node that provides a remote data distribution solution for a wide range of applications, with particular support for Timecode, MIDI, and 10Scene.
This universal interface supports Art-Net, sACN, and RDM, and like all GeNetix nodes, is fully configurable from ChamSys consoles, via the built-in web server, or via the display on the unit. The DMX ports are fully configurable, so they can be used as DMX input or output, and DMX timings can be configured. With two network ports, the GeNetix Node 5 can be powered via PoE or mains power via the powerCON TRUE1 line input. This versatile device is at home in many different environments as a standalone interface, truss-mounted in the rig via the M12 receptacle, installed via the DIN rail mount, or rack-mounted via the optional rack ears.
The interface's LTC and MIDI ports provide both Timecode and MIDI notes input/output to MagicQ systems over ChamNet, as well as Art-Net timecode compatible with any system that supports it, making the GeNetix Node 5 ideal for applications where the Timecode or MIDI source is remote from the console.
When connected to MagicQ PC Systems via USB, the GeNetix Node 5 unlocks MagicQ PC Systems in Full Unlocked Mode, functioning not only as a DMX interface but also as a Timecode, MIDI, and 10Scene gateway, giving systems running on Linux, Mac, or PC access to the full power of MagicQ software. When used as an Art-Net/sACN node, the GeNetix Node 5 opens up to 2 MagicQ Instances over the network.
