The Chauvet DJ Core 5X1 ILS can be used flexibly as an uplight, blinder, pixel effect, or wash light, all in the same housing. Thanks to COB technology with quad-color RGB+WW, the Core 5X1 ILS hits color temperatures that look just as good on camera as to the naked eye.
The strength of the Core 5X1 ILS lies in the combination of versatility and ease of control. With 2,875 lumens and a 75° beam angle, the fixture throws its light wide across the stage, while 22 DMX channels give you enough depth for detailed pixel mapping or chase effects. ILS integration enables wireless sync with other ILS fixtures as soon as you plug in a D-Fi USB, with no need to re-address anything. Can I control the Core 5X1 ILS wirelessly without an extra controller?
You'll need a D-Fi USB 2 (sold separately). Connect it to a DMX controller or to the fixture itself, and it communicates wirelessly with the other ILS fixtures in your setup.
How many DMX channels do I need for pixel control?
For full pixel mapping, use the 22-channel mode. If you just want to run the fixture as a simple wash light, 4 or 8 channels are enough.
Can I place the Core 5X1 ILS on the floor as an uplight?
Yes, the fixture is designed for floor mounting as an uplight. Mounting to a stand or truss goes through the 13 mm mounting hole.
How many units can I link without separate power circuits?
On 230V you can link up to ten units per circuit. On 120V that limit is six units.
