The Chauvet DJ Intimidator Trio XD takes a sharp turn from its predecessor. Where the standard Trio delivers wide washes with a zoom up to 53°, the XD goes for density: 270W RGBW LEDs that use a motorized zoom from 3° to 22° to concentrate output into a razor-sharp beam. That yields a lux output over 7 times higher than the standard Trio at the narrowest angle. On top of that raw power, the XD adds a carbon-fiber composite housing that's lighter, stronger, and corrosion-resistant, plus a built-in D-Fi transceiver for wireless DMX or master/slave linking without an external dongle. A USB-C port for firmware updates and a built-in RF receiver for the optional RFC/RFC-XL remote round out the package.
