FAQ
Does the SM05 have DMX control?
No, the SM05 has no DMX. Control is purely manual, via the wireless remote. If you need DMX integration for an automated light show, you'll need a different model, such as the Free Color SM07 DMX.
How long can the SM05 run continuously on a full tank?
That depends on how intensively you use it, but with a 2.5-liter tank and efficient fog output, you can normally get through a whole evening without refilling. Continuous use at full power drains the tank faster; intermittent use makes it last much longer.
Does the wireless control still work with obstacles or walls in between?
The wireless receiver works best with a clear line of sight between remote and receiver. In small venues without major obstacles, this works fine. Mount the receiver in an open position and avoid placing it behind metal structures or in tight corners for the best range.
Which fog fluid should I use?
Use standard water-based fog fluid. Hazer fluid or oil-based products are not suitable and can damage the heating element. Virtually all major brands in our webshop are compatible with the SM05.
