Does this receiver work on its own?
No, the receiver forms a set with the Free Color WI1 Transmitter on your controller side. You set both to the same frequency color; once the connection is active, the LED on the receiver blinks green rapidly.
How do I know the connection is working?
The LED indicator tells you right away: if it shows the color of the set frequency, the system is waiting for a signal. If it blinks green rapidly, the wireless DMX connection is active and your signal is getting through.
What if there's interference on the 2.4 GHz band?
Press the frequency button and switch to one of the other six groups. Just always set the transmitter and receiver to the same color.
Does the receiver also power my fixture?
No, the receiver only replaces the DMX data cable. Your fixture still needs its own power connection; the receiver itself runs on the included power adapter.
