Description

The HK Audio LUNAR 112 XA is an active 12-inch speaker that is ready to play the moment you plug it in, with no menus to wade through. Sort your rig now and you will walk into every show with one less thing to worry about.

A 12-inch woofer and a 1-inch compression driver on a constant directivity horn deliver a peak of 130 dB SPL, driven by a Class D amplifier rated at 1200 W peak. The 32-bit DSP with FIR filters handles phase correction and a steep crossover at 1.9 kHz, so the sound stays clear and balanced even when you push it. Four presets (Music, Ext. Sub, Monitor, Voice) are one turn of a knob away. And with Bluetooth 5.4 and True Wireless Stereo, two speakers pair wirelessly in proper stereo.

Key features

  • Four rear-panel presets: set up for music, speech, monitoring or use with a sub in a single move
  • 130 dB peak and 600 W RMS: plenty of headroom for mid-sized venues and parties
  • Bluetooth 5.4 with TWS: stream your playlist wirelessly to two speakers, left and right kept separate
  • Mix Out and XLR Thru: add a second speaker or a sub without an extra mixer
  • DuoTilt pole mount at 3 or 7 degrees and a 33-degree monitor angle: on a stand or as a floor wedge
  • MDF cabinet, steel grille and two SingleGrip handles: built to move house every week
  • Made in Germany, with a 5-year manufacturer warranty on registration

  • DJs who want a compact top with real punch for parties and club nights
  • Bands and live acts, as front-of-house or as a floor monitor
  • Mid-sized events: corporate parties, weddings, dances
  • Rental companies looking for a rugged all-rounder any client can operate
  • Speech and presentations, thanks to the Voice preset

Pairs perfectly with

  • An HK Audio LUNAR subwoofer, combined with the Ext. Sub preset
  • HK Audio Protective Cover LUNAR 112 XA
  • HK Audio U-bracket vertical or horizontal LUNAR 112 XA, for fixed installation
  • HK Audio AP-8 bracket, via the four M8 mounting points
  • Any speaker stand with a 35 mm pole

Pro Tip: When you run the 112 XA on top of a sub, always pick the Ext. Sub preset: the DSP rolls off the low end, the woofer focuses on the mids and you end up with noticeably more clean headroom. For a crowd further back, set the DuoTilt to 7 degrees so the horn aims at ears rather than at the back wall.

In the box

  • Power cable (IEC)

FAQ

Can I use the LUNAR 112 XA without a subwoofer?

Yes. In the Music preset it reaches down to 62 Hz (-6 dB), which is enough for bands, speech and most parties. For bass-heavy DJ sets in a larger room, adding a sub brings a lot more pressure.

How does Bluetooth work with two speakers?

Through True Wireless Stereo. Pair your source with one speaker and the second one receives the other stereo channel wirelessly. No cable between the two.

What is the difference between XLR Thru and Mix Out?

Thru passes the analogue input signal on unchanged. Mix Out sends the full mix, Bluetooth stream included, to the next speaker or a sub.

Can it work as a floor monitor?

Yes. The cabinet sits at a 33-degree monitor angle and the Monitor preset adjusts the DSP curve for that position.
