When is a column system big enough for a packed dance floor? At HK Audio that line now moves to the 12-inch sub. HK Audio POLAR 12 MK2: 2000 W peak in a column system. The bigger cabinet and 12-inch woofer deliver bass with real weight that stays tight after hours at high level, and the built-in four-channel mixer takes mic, instrument and DJ set straight in without a desk.
The new low-resonance aluminium column cuts distortion and gives the six 3-inch drivers and the 1-inch compression driver on a constant directivity horn a cleaner mid-high. The plywood subwoofer enclosure with its 12-inch woofer reaches down to 35 Hz and stays mobile thanks to two handles and the optional Wheelboard. Bluetooth 5.0 True Wireless Stereo pairs two systems wirelessly in real stereo, while phantom power and a USB-C charging port keep condenser mics and wireless receivers running. New on the MK2: the aluminium column, redesigned connector, USB-C and Bluetooth 5.0 TWS. Available in black or white, so it blends into weddings and upmarket events too.

Pro Tip: Pick the DJ preset for music and use the semi-parametric mid EQ to pull the room resonance out, then save it as a user preset for every venue you play regularly. For even more low end, add a second 12 MK2 or a PORTABLE SUB rather than boosting the bass EQ; the limiter will hold you back anyway.

What is the difference with the POLAR 10 MK2?
The 12 MK2 carries a 12-inch sub in a taller cabinet (61.8 cm versus 56.2), goes deeper (35 Hz versus 38 Hz at -10 dB) and weighs 1.6 kg more. Power, SPL, mixer and DSP are identical.
How many people will one system cover?
Count on parties up to around 250 to 300 people with music at a proper level. Beyond that, add a second system or an extra sub.
Can I run two POLAR 12 MK2 systems in stereo?
Yes, wirelessly via Bluetooth TWS, or wired from the XLR mix output of the first system into an input on the second.
