Description
Two tops on stands, a sub, a separate mixer and a bag full of cables: the classic rig sounds fine, but it costs you three cases and half an hour of setup. The HK Audio POLAR 8 MK2 folds all of that into a single column system that stands up in two minutes. This compact active column PA from HK Audio pushes 1200 W peak and 120 dB from an 8-inch sub and six 2.5-inch neodymium drivers. Built for DJs, small stages and speakers who want full sound without the haul.
Features
The curved column array of six 2.5-inch full-range drivers spreads sound 120° horizontally and 45° vertically, so the mix sounds the same up front and off to the sides. The 8-inch subwoofer in a metal-reinforced ABS cabinet delivers tight, dry bass with no boom. A Class D amplifier rated 300 W RMS and 1200 W peak is driven by a DSP with a continuously variable Contour control between DJ, Music and Voice. The built-in 3-channel mixer and Bluetooth 5.0 with TWS make a separate desk redundant.
