Description
The Light Rider LR512 works like a DJ mixer for light: pick your effects, ride the speed and fade, and your fixtures follow. This wireless DMX interface runs your light show straight from a tablet. No extra desk in the booth, no hours of programming before the gig.
The third generation gets a steel housing, a more powerful processor and 5 GHz Wi-Fi 6, so the link stays solid even in packed venues. In the free Light Rider app for iPad and Android you add your fixtures from a library of more than 20,000 profiles, and the app instantly builds movement, colour and flash effects with them. The interface also runs on its own: with the free third-generation ESA software you program scenes that the LR512 plays back without a computer or tablet, stored in 14 MB of flash memory. SUT technology lets you expand to 1024 channels or unlock other Nicolaudie software later on.

Is a power supply included?
No, only a USB-C cable is in the box. The LR512 runs on 5 V via USB-C: you can power it from your smartphone at first, but a standard USB adapter is the most reliable choice for gigs.
Can I control the LR512 over USB from a computer?
No. The USB-C port is for power only, all control runs over Wi-Fi.
Do I need to register the interface?
Yes, before first use you link the LR512 to your Nicolaudie account. One white LED with three flashing red LEDs means that still needs doing; the Quick Start Guide or the QR code under the unit walks you through it.
Does the Light Rider app work on iPhone?
No, it runs on iPad and Android tablets, not on iPhone.
