The Pioneer DJ DJM-900 NXS2 is the second-generation mixer from Pioneer's flagship range. It focuses on improved sound quality, Rekordbox compatibility, and more FX options — making the DJM-900 Nexus 2 the ultimate club mixer, arguably the club standard itself.
Improved sound quality
Thanks to an improved audio path versus earlier Pioneer mixers like the DJM-900 NXS and DJM-750 MK2, the DJM-900 NXS2 delivers a warmer, more natural sound. It's also the first DJ mixer with 64-bit processing, ensuring it sounds perfect on any sound system.
Redesigned effects section
The upgraded effects section now features an X-PAD touchscreen split into FX time parameters, including 1/4 or 3/4 beats. The high-resolution OLED display shows which FX and BPM are active, so BPM effects respond even more directly. For each effect, you can also choose whether it applies to the low, mid, or high frequency of the signal — set an echo to the high end, for example, to avoid unwanted “rumble”. The BPM effects section includes Reverb, Ping-Pong, Helix (build-up effect), Flanger, Echo, Pitch, Spiral, and many more.
The DJM-900 NXS2 also comes with six high-quality Color FX sounds, including Space, Dub Echo, Noise, Crush, Sweep, and Filter. These are available on every channel and can be dialed up or down with the new parameter knob.
Dual USB connection
You can now connect two laptops running Rekordbox DJ to the DJM-900 NXS2, making handovers between two digital DJs quick and easy. You can also plug in an iPhone or external device via a third USB or AUX input to play music from your favorite streaming service — so you'll never have to turn down a request again ;).
Via the USB input, you can also connect an external FX unit and combine the DJM-900 NXS2's built-in FX with those of your outboard gear. Digital Vinyl System DJs are covered too, with built-in DVS support.
Packed with updates
Every DJ knows the feeling — arriving at a booking and realizing you've forgotten your beloved headphone jack adapter. Thanks to the dual headphone output on the DJM-900 NXS2, that worry is gone for good: it features both a 3.5mm jack and a 6.35mm jack!
