The Pioneer DJ VM studio monitor series is a completely redesigned speaker line built with superior sound and design front and center. The Pioneer DJ VM-80 is active and delivers a clear sound with fast, powerful bass. Naturally, the series is fully adjustable to the room it's placed in, making it ideal for reproducing a club sound. But a completely flat sound is also possible, making the Pioneer DJ VM-80 perfect for studio work.
Every active VM studio monitor is equipped with a Class D amplifier with a 96 kHz sampling rate, so you can expect a natural, wide sound image. The 4 mm thick aluminum front panel resists resonance and reduces vibrations, for low distortion and even more energy.
Woofer with stunning punch
The woofer is made of aramid fiber and delivers a stunning punch that you really feel in the bass. These newly developed cones are about 1/3 lighter than traditional cones, but also stronger, so they can reproduce even lower frequencies. The bass reflex port features a Vortex Bass Accelerator, whose ribs ensure an unobstructed flow of air.
Mid and high frequencies are powerfully reproduced by the constant-directivity horn, which also provides a wide and uniform listening zone. The shape of the horn and the woofer edge were specially developed so the flat playback frequency transitions smoothly into the tweeter, creating a natural sound.
All speakers in the VM series are flat-tuned so you can hear the natural sound of the music. Every VM speaker is equipped with DSP control. On the back of the speakers you'll find two knobs: low EQ and high EQ. Without needing to look at the back panel, you can set each of these knobs to four different positions, giving you 16 possible EQ settings in total that are easy to operate. Choose the setting that sounds best for your DJ creations or the music you make at home or in a sound studio, depending on the shape, size and construction of the room.
