Description
The Pro Lux LED 1940IP BY IP65-rated FX moving head combines wash, wash-beam and kaleidoscope in a single housing.
The dual rotating lens is what really sets this fixture apart from a standard wash moving head: you switch in real time from a tight beam to a spectacular kaleidoscope effect, something that normally requires two separate fixtures. Thanks to individual pixel control per LED you have full control over static and dynamic shapes, while the motorized zoom lets you vary the beam angle steplessly from 7° to 60°. The six DMX modes, from 21 to 97 channels, give you the choice between plug-and-play operation and detailed per-pixel control from a full console.
Add the eye candy ring with macro effects on top and you have a powerful, eye-catching moving head!

Ideal for
- Outdoor festivals and events where IP65 protection isn't a luxury but a requirement
- Large concert productions with a pixel-mapping workflow on grandMA3 or ChamSys
- Corporate events and galas where wash and effects come from a single fixture
- Fixed installations in clubs or entertainment venues with outdoor or semi-outdoor zones
- Lighting designers looking for rig efficiency without sacrificing creative possibilities
Compatible with
- GrandMA3 (official fixture library available)
- ChamSys (official fixture library available)
- All standard DMX512 consoles and controllers
Pro Tip: Use the 97-channel mode for full pixel mapping, but keep an eye on your universe planning: 6 fixtures in that mode take up 582 channels combined, which requires two DMX universes. If one universe needs to cover a six-fixture rig, the 43-channel mode (258 channels total) sits right in range.

FAQ
Is IP65 protection enough for permanent outdoor hanging?
IP65 means the housing is protected against dust and water jets from every direction — great for temporary outdoor setups and covered outdoor venues. For permanent, unprotected outdoor use with prolonged rainfall from above, we always recommend a canopy or protective cover. The connections themselves need extra attention in rain.
Can I run the kaleidoscope effect without activating full pixel mapping?
Yes. The kaleidoscope function runs through the dual rotating lens and is already controllable in the simpler DMX modes. You don't need 97 channels for the basic effect; rotation speed and direction are set via a limited number of parameters.
Which console libraries are available?
Official fixture libraries exist for GrandMA3 and ChamSys, available as a download on the product page. On any other DMX512 console, you work manually with the generic profile data from the manual.
